I found out 24 hours ahead of time I was putting a piece into a show at a bar here in Atlanta. The theme was "wood", but just to use wood in some way.

There it is. I call it The Blood Bunny Dyptic. It's for sale for close to what I payed for the wood. It's oak and it is beautiful. I came up with the concept because it was the day before Easter. I drew out the initial shapes, stained the wood, went to sleep woke up to draw deails, went to work, added color to the panels and hung them up the next morning. Concept to completion in 24 hours.
Go see/Buy it at East Side Lounge. Richard Goodwin also has pieces in the show and it is worth the trip up there to see the stark contrast between our two thought processes, and they are hanging right next to one another.
